And the winner is … Lauren B! Former Bachelor Ben Higgins of Denver, Colorado, has chosen Lauren Bushnell, a flight attendant from Portland, Oregon, to be his future Mrs.

During the final rose ceremony, Bushnell nervously proclaimed her love for Higgins, telling him that he is "her person" and waited to see if he would get down on one knee on that beautifully built proposal set (no, that platform was not there naturally). "Lauren, I never want to say goodbye to you," Higgins told her. "My desire from here on out is to live for you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Then, he whipped out that 4.6-carat Neil Lane stunner: a square-cut ring with a diamond halo border and two smaller squares adjacent to the center stone on each side. A source told E! Online that the ring is "a vintage look that reflects Ben's old-fashioned values" and is worth an estimated $95,000.

Now that finale has aired and they've emerged for the first time as a couple on the "After the Final Rose" post-engagement special, they can finally be openly together in the real world. "I'm more than excited. We're starting a life together," Bushnell, who is moving to Higgins's home in Denver, said to People of finally being able to go public. "It's like an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The love of my life is right next to me and I don't have to hide it anymore."

Adds Higgins, "Now that I'm out of that world and we're together and looking at life from here on out, it's a lot easier. [The Bachelor] led me to this woman who I love deeply. She is the only woman I'll love from now on."
