Lady Gaga Gives Central Park Bride & Groom the Surprise of a Lifetime
This was no perfect illusion. This was Lady Gaga! During a visit to the John Lennon memorial Strawberry Fields in Central Park on Monday, the singer spotted a newly married couple still in their wedding ensembles and couldn't resist wishing them well.
In a video posted by TMZ, Gaga's film crew can be seen standing by as cameras from bystanders flash and Gaga, dressed head to toe in pink, warmly embraces the bride, saying "congratulations" and "you look so beautiful" to her delight. When she learned the couple was from Japan, she skillfully told them she loved them in Japanese, a sentiment which they naturally returned.
Gaga suggested they take a photo and even adjusted the bride's train for the shot before aptly quoting John Lennon for marriage advice: "All you need is love." Talk about an incredible wedding memory! Watch the whole thing:
While at Strawberry Fields, the star, who just released her new album, Joanne, also kissed the "Imagine" mosaic and adorned it with pink and blue flowers. As if the moment couldn't get any more magical, after congratulating the happy couple, Gaga hopped onto the back of a fan's bicycle and rode away-side-saddle, of course.
