Teyana Taylor & Iman Shumpert Finally Share Wedding Photos—And They're Unbelievably Cool
Can Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert be any cooler? The actress and recording artist and NBA player tied the knot in secret earlier this year; no one even knew until Taylor let it slip on the Wendy Williams Show in September. And now, the costars of Kanye West's steamy music video for "Fade" are finally sharing wedding details and pictures.
"Love is an emblem of eternity," Taylor captioned a wedding photo with Shumpert and their 10-month-old baby, Iman "Junie" Tayla. "It confounds all notion of time, it effaces all memory of a beginning, and all fear on an end." The snapshot shows the family of three wearing matching biker jackets customized with cute phrases: On Taylor, "I do," on Shumpert, "I do too," and on little Junie, "Oh! Me too". Her hashtags only add to the adorableness: "#TimelessLove #My2FavPeople #Hitched #Adayiwillneverforget #TB."
In another photo, the bride and groom share a laugh in their unique ensembles, bouquet in Taylor's hand. "Grab ya biker baby let's do it rite HERE rite NOW!" Taylor wrote on Instagram. "It's nothing like marrying ya best friend. I love you baby.... A moment I will never forget."
The wedding venue was just as low-key as their looks: "It was very small, in Cleveland," Taylor said to Essence. "We got married where Junie was born." That would be in their apartment: Shumpert actually helped Taylor deliver their daughter himself!
Though their home was a fitting place to start their lives together, Taylor told Essence that they're also planning another "fairytale wedding of their dreams."
We can't wait to see what kind of celebration the couple plans. If their initial nuptials and Taylor's engagement ring (a unique "untreated" or "raw" ruby set in a yellow gold band that she said is "worth more than a diamond") is any indication, the wedding is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind.
This has been a big year for the couple, and as it comes to a close, Taylor credits it all to her baby girl. "That's Junie and God. You gotta think about it, Junie came and everything got better: sold out tour was happening, they won a championship-she came to Game 7, Mother's Day and Father's Day, everything was so perfect, 'Fade'. She's a complete angel, she is God sent."
