Ever since Kensington Palace confirmed Saturday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially saying goodbye to their first shared home, many rumors about the reason for their upcoming move have circulated. Though sources have speculated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex-who will relocate to Frogmore Cottage, a residence on the grounds of Windsor Castle-are changing residences to separate themselves from other members of the royal family as they begin one of their own, a new Us Weekly insider has posed another possibility. It's likely that Markle needs space for her mother, Doria Ragland, who plans on spending ample time in the U.K. after her first grandchild arrives.

According to the source, Markle wants nothing more than for her mother to relocate across the pond. "Meghan of course wants her mom to move to the U.K.," said the insider. Although Ragland "hasn't made any commitments about doing so," the social worker wants to spend "a lot of time with Meghan and the baby" in the coming months. A larger (the cottage boasts 10 bedrooms!), more remote property could pave the way to Ragland's permanent move.

It sounds like Markle might be able to convince her mother to stay for good, since Ragland has reportedly confirmed that she plans to spend a lot of time overseas as her daughter's pregnancy progresses. "She has told friends that she would keep her house in Los Angeles but is indeed planning on spending a majority of her time with Meghan," continued the source.

Though it's unclear whether the Duke and Duchess' move will likely take place before or after their child arrives, other preparations for the baby's debut are currently underway. The most pressing matter? Deciding on a name. In a recent speech, Prince Charles revealed two potential monikers for his future grandchild, reports E! News: "Just between us, I suspect that Kylie and Shane may possibly make the short list. But ladies and gentlemen I would not hold your breath for Edna or Les."
