A source confirms to People that New York City-based jeweler Alison Lou designed the enormous sparkler, which features an emerald-cut stone that sits on a thin gold band.
The designer behind Lawrence's stunning engagement ring from fiancé Cooke Maroney has become one of the most in-demand jewelers in Hollywood since launching her namesake line in 2012. Most notably, Lou's trendy lucite hoop earrings became a popular red carpet pick among A-listers including Blake Lively, Tracee Ellis Ross and Gabrielle Union.
Lawrence showed off her sparkling diamond at the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week, which marked the first time we saw detailed images of the design since the news of her engagement broke in early February.
Lawrence gave us a peek at her ring for the first time during a girls' night out in N.Y.C. at ABC Cocina a fews days earlier. Prior to that outing, she had been stepping out wearing a gold band on her ring finger, with a small stone in the center.
A rep for the actress confirmed to People that she and Maroney were officially engaged in early February after less than a year of dating. A source told People in June 2018 that the two were an item and were spotted throughout the summer jet-setting to Paris and Rome. At the time a source told People the couple "seemed happy, occasionally holding hands" during their Parisian trip.
