Did Beyoncé and Jay-Z Renew Their Wedding Vows?
Beyoncé and Jay-Z hit all kinds of milestones in 2018. They celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in April and are currently on a joint tour-their second since tying the knot in 2008-with their three children in tow. Footage from their kickoff On the Run Tour II show in Cardiff, U.K., suggests that the iconic musical duo found some time to appreciate these landmarks by renewing their wedding vows, reports People.
The video showed both artists in white, surrounded by their six-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and their 11-month-old twins, Rumi and Sir, in what appears to be a vow renewal ceremony. After the camera paused on the couple, their foreheads together and hands clasped, the footage cuts to black before the words "THIS IS REAL LOVE" appear onscreen. This interlude took place during Beyoncé and Jay-Z's performance of their 2009 duet "Young Forever."
Around the same time clips of the montage began circulating, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé's mother, posted a still of the couple and the twins in white, too. The Instagram photo gives a clearer glimpse of the rumored vow renewal. Does the post confirm that the rumors are true? Knowles captioned the snapshot, "My babies."
While the twosome's youngest children seem to have appeared in that mini-movie, many concert members believed that they'd been introduced much earlier on in the show. Images of Beyoncé holding two babies periodically popped onto the screen, with word overlays like "LOVE IS UNIVERSAL" and "LOVE NEVER CHANGES." One of Beyoncé's reps, however, later confirmed that they were not Rumi or Sir, Entertainment Tonight reported.
The last time the couple shared photos of the twins was just one month after their were born, when Beyoncé posted the viral image of her, clad in a blue veil, holding both twins in front of a floral backdrop.
