Prince Harry Definitely Wants Kids with Meghan Markle, Just Not "Too Many"
We already know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to start a family together. But until now, we didn't know how many children they were hoping to have. As it turns out, the couple wants to keep their immediate family small-or at least, below five kids!
According to People, the newlyweds were just spotted in Dublin, Ireland, where they spent some time greeting their fans. There, Elaine Adam-Stewart, a member of the crowd, decided to ask the Duke of Sussex about the pair's family timeline: "My husband also has red hair and he gave me five children-when are you and Meghan going to get going?" Adam-Stewart told People that the prince responded with a telling statement: "He laughed and said, "Five children? Too many.'"
Prince William and Kate Middleton have three children-perhaps that's the magic number for Harry and Meghan. Or maybe, they'll keep their number even lower, settling on just one or two kids. Whatever the case, they're committed to raising little ones of their own. Earlier, an insider told Us Weekly that "having children is definitely a priority" for the recent bride.
"She and Harry want to start a family right away-and she'll start trying as soon as she can." The couple expressed similar sentiments in their first joint interview after their engagement, notes People. Then, when asked about starting a family, Prince Harry responded, "Of course, one step at a time, and hopefully we'll start a family in the near future."
