Selena Gomez and the "Wizards of Waverly Place" Cast Just Reunited for David Henrie's Wedding
All the emotions.
It was the perfect weekend for a Wizard's of Waverly Place reunion-and the wedding of one of the Disney show's former stars. On Friday, David Henrie, who played Justin Russo on hit TV show, married Maria Cahill, former Miss Delaware, in an Old Hollywood-inspired celebration in Southern California. According to People, the two met an event just over two years ago and made their relationship forever-official with 170 of their closest family and friends. Naturally, that guest list included Henrie's TV family from Wizards of Waverly Place, which premiered nearly a decade ago.
And with the Wizards of Waverly Place reuniting for the special day, there was no way Selena Gomez, who played Henrie's younger sister on the show, would miss out. Years after the show wrapped, it looks like her character's close relationship with Henrie is still going strong. Gomez's Instagram photos prove that she could not be happier for her former television big brother.
Her caption read, "Very much in my feelings about my big brother getting married. Even though we for sure knew it would be him first. May God bless you and your beautiful wife Henrie!" To finish off her warm wishes, Gomez posted a collection of photos from the big day, including a then and now group photo of the cast, a few fun selfie photos during the reception, and a group shot with Henrie's new wife, the latest addition to the WOWP clan. It's hard not to get sentimental just looking at the photos. It's clear that the stars still consider themselves family in real life.
Plus, the wedding sounds like everything Mr. and Mrs. Henrie could have ever wanted for their big day! The couple arrived at their reception in a Rolls Royce, had their first dance to a Michael Bublé tune, and were dressed to the nines. Henrie wore a custom tuxedo and followed in his dad's footsteps by finishing his look with a white bowtie, while Cahill wore an A-line wedding dress from Enzoani, made with beaded Alencon and Chantilly lace (which Henrie hadn't seen at all prior to the wedding). Of course, the Russo clan sat at a table together and enjoyed the celebration as a family, just like they would have on the show if one of their characters had gotten married. Looks like TV families really can last for a lifetime, and this reunion couldn't have hit any more emotions. Congratulations to the happy couple!
