Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are just a few short weeks away from becoming parents-something that the Duchess of Sussex herself just confirmed. During the couple's first royal outing of 2019-the duo greeted their fans in Birkenhead on Monday-the mom-to-be let a few fans in on her upcoming due date, reports People, revealing that she will give birth in late April.

According to the outlet, Markle, clad in a striking red-and-purple ensemble, was forthcoming about the news. "We asked her how her pregnancy was going and she said she was six months and she tapped her tummy," a bystander explained. The Duchess reportedly shared the approximate time with others gathered in the town square, acknowledging that she and her husband would welcome their first child towards the end of April.

This update clarifies Markle's pregnancy announcement, which Kensington Palace made in October 2018, five months after the royal couple tied the knot at Windsor Castle in May. "Their Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019," read the statement. "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."

At the time of the announcement, multiple sources alleged that Markle was roughly 12 weeks along (which turned out to be an accurate assessment!). According to the Duchess, the last six months have flown by. "She said her pregnancy had gone so quickly," another bystander recounted. Another revealed how excited Markle is to parent with Prince Harry: "Meghan came up straight after and said that he's going to be a fantastic dad."
