If you're a bride getting married in 2019, be sure to bookmark these brand-new styles.

The best part about Bridal Fashion Week? Seeing which fresh wedding dress trends are about hit the market. We're all for the classic creations that reference the bridal gowns of the past, but there's just something so invigorating about the modern garments of the future. And while we've always admired the collective work of our (and your!) favorite designers, we'll admit that it's a particularly good time to be a bride. The reason? These new styles offer a brand-new perspective on big-day fashion—and are elements that a couture-loving woman of the moment is sure to love.
Though no dress was the same at Fall 2019 Bridal Fashion Week, we did notice a few recurring ideas that are worth bookmarking. One of the most pervasive styles was removable sleeves, which give the bride-to-be the option to customize her wedding dress at any point during her celebration (walk down the aisle with full-length sleeves, and then transform your bridal gown into a strapless, sexy iteration when it's time for the reception). Speaking of receptions—virtually every designer sent a mini dress (they make for the perfect party garments!) down the runways. Feeling particularly celebratory? Super-cool and dynamic motifs, like feathers, pockets, metallic lace, and statement skirts, all made landmark appearances this season.
If these trends are any indication, it's clear that, when it comes to choosing a wedding dress, brides are having more fun than ever before. That's not to say, though, that classic brides can't get in on the fun. Romantic off-the-shoulder sleeves (another designer favorite!), high, Victorian-inspired necklines and collars, and embroidery are just a few of the more refined twists on traditional wedding dress styles on this list. Ready to discover all of these inspired looks for yourself? Click through for the best wedding dress trends from Fall 2019 Bridal Fashion Week—you're about to see them everywhere.

Removable Sleeves
Just like capes, removable sleeves give a bride the option to completely change her look halfway through her celebration. In some ways, this unique feature feels decidedly classic (they're a reference to over-the-elbow gloves, which defined many-a-past-bride's look). The idea might not be novel, but these modern-day versions definitely are. Voluminous poofs, off-the-shoulder options, and even removable bell varieties will make you want to try this trend on for size—until you decide to take it off, that is.

Capes
There's a new way to make your walk down the aisle that much more dramatic—capes. In the vein of the open back, these cascading, structural elements make a statement from behind, since they float in your wake. We loved the following designers' takes on this add-on piece. Note how some opted for classic interpretations (these garments are separate from the wedding dress, cover the shoulders, and often featured a hood), while others imagined up train-cape hybrids—varieties that are actually fixed to the garment and blend in with or act as the gown's train.

High Collars
The new high collar is anything but stuffy. Whether you're a romantic bride searching for that lacey, Victorian-inspired high neckline or a total rule-breaker who loves the literal translation (think actual fold-over collars and turtlenecks), this season's collar game was about as strong as it gets.

Statement Skirts
Move over, playful pleats! The skirts of the Fall 2019 season officially offer newfangled ways to make a statement from the waist down. Some of these options involve form (think next-level ruffles, fringe accents, and patterns we don't have words to describe), while others include color. Choose a semi-sheer striped skirt or a peach ombré beauty—whatever skirt statement speaks to you the most.
