Although awards season is long gone, we'll never be ready to give up one of our favorite hobbies: celebrity watching. Especially when it involves some of the world's most stylish couples all dressed up for a major event. The dresses! The tuxedos! Not to mention the adorable poses and super sweet glances. And while we've already covered the cutest couples who attended this year's Academy Awards, Grammys, SAGs, and beyond, there's no way we would miss out on one of the most fashion-forward and sophisticated red carpet events of the year—the Met Gala. This year, the exhibition's theme is "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between" and with a designer as edgy and eclectic as Rei Kawakubo, the looks should be nothing short of inspiring. Plus, we always love seeing the way couples coordinate their red carpet fashion looks—or choose to mix and match their fashion selections in the best way possible. And the 2017 Met Gala was absolutely no exception. Click through to see the most stylish couples who stepped out on the 2017 Met Gala red carpet.
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
Now this is one couple who positively glowed on the Met Gala red carpet. Seriously, could they look any happier together? It doesn't hurt that Williams' emerald gown showed off her baby bump and her engagement ring perfectly. Plus, this marks the first time the soon-to-be-wed pair hit the red carpet together.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
As if Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds weren't already one of our all-time favorite celebrity couples. Not only did they show up to the Met Gala in style (Lively's gold Atelier Versace gown was made completely unforgettable by the addition of blue feathers, while Reynold's coordinated with a bow tie to match), they looked adorable while doing so. Just look at those smiles!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Whether we're talking about spontaneous cute factor or fashion savvy, this is one couple we've come to have pretty high expectations for. But, like always, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend match them every time. Teigan slipped into a Marchesa gown for this year's Met Gala, while Legend's sleek black-and-white suit is the best complement to her statement-making look.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd
This may be one of the best-dressed red carpet couple debuts we've seen in a while! The singer looked flawless in her silk Coach gown (seriously, that train is amazing!), and completed her look with a swipe of bold eyeshadow and a subtle choker. Meanwhile, The Weeknd looked all glammed up in a sleek black tuxedo to match, and didn't forget to add some true-to-form personality via a sparkling accessory of his own.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
If there was any doubt in our minds that J.Lo knows how to make an entrance, this dress crushed it. And it looks like her new beau is up for the fashion challenge! Lopez's sky blue Valentino gown is absolutely incredible, but what we really love is the way she and Rodriguez look like a match made in Met Gala heaven.

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady
This superstar couple's Met Gala style is completely on point. Brady donned a modern twist on a classic tux with his Tom Ford look, while Bundchen's Stella McCartney gown features just the right amount of sparkle (and a pretty incredible statement back!).

Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh
If there's one couple we expected to see taking this year's Met Gala theme to heart, it was Pharrell Williams, who happen's to be one of this year's hosts, and his wife Helen Lasichanh. Williams may be wearing jeans, but they also happen to be Comme des Garcons, while Lasichanh topped her straight-off-the-runway onesie with a sleek topknot.

Bee Shaffer and Francesco Carrozzini
Bee Shaffer's Alexander McQueen gown is absolutely befitting the event and the fact that her mother is Met Gala host Anna Wintour, but it's her accessories we can't take our eyes off! Shaffer, who recently announced her engagement to her very dapper date for the evening, Francesco Carrozzini, seized the fashion moment to debut her sparkling engagement ring, too.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy
We'll never say "no" to a couple who knows just how to coordinate their looks. Claire Danes, who's wearing Monse, and Hugh Dancy pulled off the right amount of color coordination for the big night. Plus, Daines' ruffled top-turned-cape is completely capturing the "Art of the In-Between" theme of this year's event.

Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe
Actor Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe looked nothing less than fantastic at this year's Met Gala. Redmayne's bright blue suit popped against Bagshawe's equally eye-catching gown for a jewel-toned look that involved just enough couple fashion coordination. Plus, the pair looked super sweet making their way down the red carpet.

Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow
Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow are one couple who know how to turn a red carpet event into date night, even after 20 years of marriage! The duo looked extra sophisticated in their fashion selections for the evening.

Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso
Matt Damon and his wife of 10-plus years Luciana Barroso definitely hit the Met Gala red carpet in style. We love Barroso's simple but still standout look, and Damon pulled off a classic black-tie look to match.

Sean "Diddy" Combs and Cassie
The couple that dresses together stays together, right? Mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs and longtime girlfriend Cassie both donned black and silver ensembles for the Met Gala. He tried the cape trend, which he paired with an embellished tuxedo, while Cassie looked incredible in a black ball gown with silver beading and a long, ruffled train.
