Mandy Moore First Met Fiancé Taylor Goldsmith on Instagram
Mandy Moore may have decided to keep the details of Taylor Goldsmith's proposal private, but she isn't shying away from talking about her new fiancé. The This Is Us actress recently opened up about how the two met, telling People that she and Goldsmith first crossed paths on social media.
"I took a picture of [the Dawes] album and posted it on Instagram," she explained. "Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé!" Their meet-cute took place over two years ago, and Moore has never been happier. "I'm more grateful than I ever have been in my life," the actress explained of her hit TV show and loving relationship. "It's a very happy time."
Moore said that those first few months with Goldsmith were just as blissful, even though they spent most of that time apart-Goldsmith was on tour and she was in the thick of shooting her hit TV show. "We spent hours FaceTiming each other," she said. "We fell in love before we'd even really held hands or kissed or anything. It was great."
Goldsmith proposed in September, in the privacy of the couple's home. Just like their engagement, the pair will continue to keep details of their wedding planning to themselves, the bride-to-be explained. "We are both pretty quiet, private people," says Moore. "I never imagined myself with some beautiful dress in front of 300 people. It will be quiet and private-just for us." Moore may have a general vision of the wedding, but little else matters to her beyond marrying her best friend. "I feel incredibly understood and supported," Moore said of Goldsmith. "I feel incredibly lucky to have somebody who is like, 'I got your back.' I found the right person and I feel like we can handle anything together."
