Leighton Meester Just Called Adam Brody Her "Soulmate"
The actress also dished on her two Gossip Girl weddings.
Leighton Meester and Adam Brody's marriage has been just as private as their wedding-the Gossip Girl actress and The O.C. actor tied the knot in a secret 2014 ceremony. But luckily for her fans, Meester just spoke a bit about her husband and their life together in a rare interview with Net-a-Porter's PORTER.
It's safe to say that the actress' last four years have been defined by wedding bliss. "I wouldn't change anything [in the past] because I'm happy where I am now," she told the fashion outlet. She credits that happiness to both her personal and professional lives-and especially to her family. "I think that that's one of the many wonderful parts of not only having a child and meeting your soulmate, but also I feel really lucky career-wise-really in a place that I want to be," she explained, referencing her three-year-old daughter, Arlo, and her husband of four years.
Another key detail that's bonded the duo together? Understanding the importance of maintaining their careers while balancing marriage and parenthood. "I think we're a pretty modern couple," Meester told Entertainment Tonight in August. "I think we sort of toggle back and forth-we both work, but also being actors, I think we understand each other, what we're both going through."
In an accompanying video for Net-a-Porter, Meester also dished on her multiple Gossip Girl weddings-specifically, the experience of wearing two bridal gowns. "I wore a couple wedding dresses," she shared. "People, for some reason, because it's a wedding dress, they feel like they need to come up to you and be like, 'You look beautiful,' and I'm like, 'It's not really my wedding day, it's not real, but thank you!'"
