Steph Curry's Sister, Sydel Curry, Is Engaged to Basketball Player Damion Lee!
Sydel Curry, NBA star Steph Curry's little sister, is engaged to basketball player Damion Lee! After the former Elon volleyball champ announced the news on her Instagram, love from friends and family quickly poured in. Her sister-in-law, Ayesha Curry, made her own post, congratulating her "sissy" on finding the love of her life.
"Ummmmm my sissy is engaged which means me [and] @stephencurry30 are officially old," she wrote. "Sorry to say this but I still remember your freshmen year of high school. I can't believe now you'll be walking down the aisle and one day starting a fam of your own!" Mrs. Steph Curry also said that her and her husband's goal has always been to "pave a path that our siblings could look up to." Considering Ayesha and Steph's rock-solid marriage, it's safe to say that the little Curry and Lee have the ultimate role models.
Lee and Curry still have some time before their married life starts, and are clearly enjoying the newly-engaged stage for now. "Thank you, Jesus, for this man. Thank you for your perfect timing. Tonight, I said yes to the man of my dreams and I couldn't be more happy," Curry wrote, alongside a photo series of her dapper fiancé and cushion-cut engagement ring. Although, Curry also said that the wedding couldn't come soon enough: "I love you Damion Lee and can't wait to be your wife."
Lee reciprocated his bride-to-be's sweet words on Twitter, where he posted a poem. "Love is nothing to rush, I know you would hurry me. Would you like to be Mrs. Sydel Alicia Curry-Lee?" he wrote, tagging the post #SheSaidYes and #HappiLeeEverAfter. It looks like Lee already landed on the couple's wedding hashtag! That's not the only wedding planning brainstorm in the works. It also sounds like Ayesha Curry can't wait to get the bachelorette party started. "Just know [I'm] always going to snatch you away for girls' weekends @sydelcurry," she wrote.
