Kacey Musgraves had one main source of inspiration when she put together her latest album, Golden Hour: Her husband of one year, Ruston Kelly. During a red-carpet interview at last night's CMA Awards, the country star revealed the romantic story behind the songs that won her the coveted Album of the Year award.

"I mean, the whole record is about him," she told Entertainment Tonight. "He inspired this entire album and the second that I met him, my world just opened up, and I feel like I bloomed in a lot of ways. I kind of had this metamorphosis of self, and I thank him a lot for that, and I look up to him a lot as a creator too. He's got a brilliant record [Dying Star] that just came out."

As for what's next for the newlywed musicians? The couple just finished building a home in Nashville and hope to someday fill it with a family. "Maybe not anytime soon, but definitely though. I'm really into it, and we really do want to take that step at some point," Musgraves said, when asked if having a child was in the near future. "He wants to tour and do his thing and get his album out. You know, I want to make another record, and I don't know, we'll see."

According to Country Living, Musgraves never wrote love songs before meeting her husband, further proof that the duo's union has opened up the singer's life in ways she never expected. Today, Kelly writes and sings about his wife just as frequently. He told Rolling Stone in September that Musgraves has been "a strong redemptive force in my life. She reminded me that it doesn't matter, that everyone has a past. Someone has to help pick you up somehow."
