We dream up a celebration fit for our favorite TV couple Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castellano.

Our favorite fictional OBGYNs are engaged! If you haven't kept up on The Mindy Project, here's the recap (spoiler alert):
Danny started as co-workers, became frenemies, and slowly fell in love. After a rocky start, they confessed their feelings, moved in together, and found out they were expecting in quick succession. In true TV timing, Danny proposed in one episode and Mindy gave birth in the next. Now it's time to plan a big Indian-Catholic wedding! With baby Leo (named after either DiCaprio or da Vinci, depending on who you ask) in tow, we can't wait to see how these two tie the knot. This is how we see it all going down—from the dress to the desserts.

The Palette
Mindy's wardrobe is bursting with bright colors. Hopefully she'll embrace her maximalist tendencies on the big day—we suggest mixing hot pink with shades of citrus.

Mindy's Beauty Tip
Mindy (in real life) has amazing skin and she recently revealed one of her favorite tricks in a hilarious Instagram selfie. Mix Bragg's Organic Apple cider vinegar (a cult favorite) and Aztex Secret's Indian Healing Clay to create a facemask. She reports it cleared up her oily skin while on the road promoting her new book. We can only imagine Mindy Lahiri following this advice on the lead up to the wedding, while binge-watching The Real Housewives and slamming McDonalds.

The Bachelorette Party
The office that sings off-key together stays together. Rather than a traditional bridal shower or bachelorette party, we see Mindy and Danny (well, mostly Mindy) singing along with the rest of the Shulman & Associates crew at a karaoke bar.

Rehearsal Dinner Outfit
Could this behind-the-scenes photo be a hint to a wedding-weekend look? Combining a little black dress with an edgy cut out with traditional Indian hair accessories is our idea of fusion done right. The jewelry she's wearing here is a maang tikka, meant to symbolize the sixth chakra or third eye in Hindu traditions.

Hindu Tradition
How cute would Danny look riding up to the ceremony on a white horse? The Baraat is a tradition in North India where the groom travels to the wedding venue on a mare, along with his family. It can be a big raucous procession with dancing and singing, culminating with the elders from both families meeting. We can only imagine drama ensues with the Lahiris and the Castellanos.

Catholic Tradition
Danny is a devout Catholic and attends mass with his 'ma' every Sunday. Mindy claims "he even prays before he chews gum." Since his faith is so important to him our fingers are crossed that his priest (played by Stephen Colbert in season three) is the officiant at their wedding.

The Venue
Danny told Mindy that he loved her at the Empire State Building, prompting a season finale-worthy make out session. It's arguably the most romantic building in New York City, and although it's not a wedding venue, we suspect the producers will make some TV magic. (You can get in on the magic too—each year the building has a contest for couples that want to tie the knot atop the tower on Valentine's Day.)

The Accessories
This Edie Parker clutch was made for Mindy Kaling to wear to the Emmy's, and we hope she passes it on to her costume designer Salvador Perez to use on the show. It's the perfect size for lipstick, a pacifier for baby Leo, and a secret candy stash.

The Wedding Dress
When Spanish designer Josep Font sent this colorful Delpozo dress down the Spring 2016 runway, we knew Mindy should rock it down the aisle. He was inspired by "strong, earthy women of intense passion and emotion," which definitely includes Mindy Lahiri. The beaded bodice and fluorescent skirt make the dress special enough for a bride while embracing Mindy's love of bright, bold colors.

Ring Bear-er
It seems safe to assume that their baby, Leo, will be fulfilling the ring bearer duties at this wedding. While the bride is forgoing a classic white dress, Baby Leo would look adorable in a creamy white footie jumper—complete with tiny bear feet.

The Details
These escort cards share the same vibrant hues as the paillettes on Mindy's Delpozo dress. To get the look, have gem shapes cut from Lucite and cover them with calligraphed photography gels. Hang them with fishing line near the reception space.

The Bouquet
There won't be any wallflowers at this wedding. Mixing technicolor pinks and citrus yellow ties the bouquet into the color palette. Two varieties of poppies are front and center: Icelandic and the more unusual peony poppy, both locally sourced from a Texas farm. Sunshiny ranunculus, fluffy peonies, showy protea, and delicately ruffled sweet peas are also tucked in.

The Cake
Think hot pink for a cake fit for television. The secret to getting this vivid hue is cactus-pear purée. The purée's bright, tropical flavor (think strawberry-kiwi-watermelon) also works in margaritas for a signature cocktail.

The Other Dessert (Because Mindy)
Mindy's first trip out of the house after baby Leo is born is to Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal's cookbook signing (Jake & Maggie Gyllenhaal's Grillin' Haul, of course), but on the way home she can't help but stock up on forbidden junk food. One cake certainly isn't enough dessert for this wedding. These cream-filled chocolate cupcakes are a homemade version of a Mindy-worthy treat.
