It's been nearly 22 years since Julianne tried to win back Michael days before he walked down the aisle. And now the cast of My Best Friend's Wedding imagines what their characters might be up to today.

"I think George works in a mortician's office in Fairfax," Rupert Everett tells People and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle. "He's a chief mortician." Evertt, 59, and his costars Cameron Diaz, Dermot Mulroney and Julia Roberts reunited for EW's romantic comedy issue, and reminisced about having Mulroney's dog on set, Roberts' crop tops, and singing karaoke in Chicago ahead of filming.

"We went to an actual karaoke joint," Mulroney, 55, recalls of preparing for one of the movie's most memorable scenes with Roberts. "I'd never done karaoke before, you seemed to have had some experience. So skillful at karaoke that night. But we were using aliases because we didn't want our names…I was Tom and she was Nicole, which at the time was funny because it was about 22 years ago. I don't have to explain."

Following her character Kimberly's horrible triple date at a karaoke bar in the film, Diaz, 46, jokes, "I've been completely terrorized and traumatized by karaoke."

As for what food critic and amateur saboteur Julianne may be up to in 2019, Roberts, 51, suggests she's "a marriage counselor."

"Those who can't, teach," she says.
