"Big Bang Theory" Star Jim Parsons Marries Longtime Love Todd Spiewak
The real-life Sheldon Cooper has tied the knot.
The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons and longtime partner Todd Spiewak have officially tied the knot! The couple, who have been together for more than 14 years, said "I do" at the Rainbow Room in New York City this weekend, and it looks like the celebration was one to remember.
Although Parsons, also known as Sheldon Cooper to Big Bang Theory fans, hasn't shared any major details about the big day, he did take to Instagram to share a snap from the ceremony (which looks amazing. Do you see that ceremony arch?). "5.13.17 Rainbow Room, NYC," he wrote in the caption, and hinted at more photos to come. The couple's coordinated tuxedos and smiles have our hearts melting in the best way possible.
Parsons also took to social media last November with a touching tribute to Spiewak on the couple's 14th anniversary. "I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest," he wrote beneath a photo of the duo, according to Us Weekly. "One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke."
The actor also joked that the selfie he posted may have been taken with an actual camera because the couple had been together since long before cell phones could snap decent photos. He wrapped up the caption with the hashtags "Todd" and "anniversary," plus one heart emoji-although his heartfelt message definitely made his feelings for Spiewak clear in the sweetest way possible!
This isn't the first time Parsons has opened up about the way he and his new husband met. In 2015, the star shared that the pair first connected on a blind date at a karaoke bar in 2002. Spiewak sang Cher's hit, "I Found Someone," and it looks like the lyrics rang true. Congratulations to the newlyweds! We can't wait to see what other wedding details from the day pop up on Parson's profile!
