Proof That Taylor Swift Is the Happiest Maid of Honor
The role of maid of honor looks great on Taylor Swift! The 26-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist attended her childhood friend's wedding in Pennsylvania over the weekend, and it looked like she had a ball. Swift has known the bride, Britany Maack, her entire life and promised to be her maid of honor over a year ago. "I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten," Swift captioned an Instagram of the bridal party after the wedding. "Now they're married and I'm the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!"
To show just how long she and Maack have been friends, Swift even posted a throwback photo, followed by a shot of the MOH and bride, all grown up and wearing gorgeous Reem Acra dresses. "Reem does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, 'I wonder if we could go to the showroom,'" Swift told People. Over the summer, Swift made it happen, dubbing it "the best day ever"-and solidifying her status as the best MOH ever. Being best friends with one of the biggest celebrities in the world definitely has its perks!
Swift's bridesmaid dress featured a sparkly bodice that complemented the bride's hand-embroidered ballgown (and matching embroidered cathedral veil) with cap sleeves and beautiful lace details.
Swift is known for being loyal to her "squad," and this wedding was no exception, as she performed the necessary MOH duties and was there for her friend without stealing the spotlight. In the group photo, the 5'10" "Out of the Woods" singer may have stood out above most of the crowd, but she was clearly thrilled to be celebrating her friends' love that day.
