It's all up to Queen Elizabeth.

Kensington Palace just announced the news that a new royal is on the way: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will welcome a child in the spring. Their baby will be the seventh in line to the throne, right behind Prince Harry. But Good Morning America reports that they won't be a prince or princess or have a His or Her Royal Highness title-not unless Queen Elizabeth, their great-grandmother, intervenes, that is.

But it isn't just the Queen's decision. In order for the little one to hold a title, the monarch would first propose the child's royal position to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who would then decide if they wanted to bestow it upon their child. Their baby would then join the ranks of other young princes and princesses-along with their cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis-in the royal family.

The royal baby news came on the heels of Princess Eugenie's wedding, who was married days prior at the very same chapel as the soon-to-be parents. The Duchess' wedding guest attire might have been a nod to her pregnancy-she wore a dark blue Givenchy coat with the lower three buttons undone (to make room for her baby bump, perhaps?). Many media outlets have speculated that she shared the news with several members of the royal family at the event.

Ultimately, it's not a surprise to hear that Harry and Meghan are expecting. Meghan (who is roughly at the 12-week mark!) and Harry have made it known that they wish to start a family. They told a reporter back in May that they hoped to grow their family in "the near future." Another family member is just as excited about the development. Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, release a statement through the palace, noting that she is "very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild."
