To celebrate two decades in print, we threw a platinum-themed bash at The Pierre hotel in New York City last week and invited all our friends to join us for the festivities. Among them were some of our favorite planners, bakers, florists, and more that know how to make a party stand out from the rest. Here, we take a spin through the event and highlight their work to get you inspired should you be putting together your own affair.
David Stark Design’s large songbird-shaped topiaries with a dovetail banner that read “tweet, tweet, love is sweet!” welcomed guests.
Displayed in large platinum pizza boxes on a cart, the bite-size appetizers were a hit.
Steve’s Ice Cream served up two mouthwatering flavors: Bourbon Vanilla and Salted Caramel Chocolate.
The dessert bar, created by The Pierre, included mini versions of crème brûlée, cupcakes, banana cream pie, chocolate milkshakes, and more.
A DJ, band, and French quartet provided by Troy Curtis Group kept attendees entertained and on the dance floor throughout the night.
A Deborah Lippmann nail station provided 5-minute manicures. Fitting with the platinum theme, guests had their pick of metallic shades and glittery top coats.
Sugarfina’s tiered candy display wasn’t the company’s only sweet surprise: They also handed out champagne gummy bear favors.
