Justin Timberlake Loves Being a Dad, Says the Sweetest Things About Fatherhood
Even though he says he has "no idea" what he's doing.
Justin Timberlake has a lot going on right now, but in the best way possible. He's been married to actress Jessica Biel for four years, he has an adorable 1-year-old son, Silas, his new movie, Trolls, hits theaters early next month, and his concert film, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, is set to start streaming on Netflix on Wednesday. Whoa-even we need to take a second to breath.
And Timberlake does, too. The singer and actor opened up to Willie Geist on The Today Show about taking it all in and appreciating what he has. "Every day, while it's happening-now more so than ever while it's actually happening…the moment and all of this imperfection is the best part. That's going to be the part you remember the most."
What Timberlake appreciates the most is his family and becoming a parent. "It changes everything," he said on becoming a dad. "You literally just wake up…you look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I'm doing.'" Timberlake talked about his wife, saying what a humbling experience it is to watch her become a mom. "You watch her realize she has a gear she didn't have and then you go, 'Woah,'" Timberlake said. From his Instagram and Twitter posts, we think the couple is doing just fine as first-time parents.
So fine, in fact, that Silas might have inspired Timberlake's latest hit, "Can't Stop the Feeling." "That was sort of serendipitous, and I would have never written a song like 'Can't Stop the Feeling' (without having a child)," he said. "There's a lot of music that he can't listen to of mine-at least not yet."
