Ryan Reynolds Says He and Blake Lively Love Binge-Watching a Surprisingly Relatable TV Show
Reynolds revealed that the loves to watch The Great British Bake Off to cap off the night.
When it comes to binge-watching TV shows, Ryan Reynolds shared there is one that he and wife Blake Lively love watching together. As it turns out, their favorite show is surprisingly relatable—it's one that you and your significant other probably love, too: Netflix's The Great British Bake Off. Reynolds revealed that people may be surprised by their series of choice in an interview with People, saying, "You weren't expecting that, were you? We live in a world that's pretty divisive right now and there's a lot going on. And I like that show just because it's a nice thing to watch at night."
Reynolds added that he and Lively also choose the show because it's refreshing to see how kindly participants treat each other. "It's sort of sweet. It's not really about anything that's going to remind you of chaos," he said.
The actors have been married for seven years, and they are now parents to three daughters. While the Hollywood couple welcomed their youngest daughter back in October, they've remained tight-lipped about her name. In an interview on the Today Show, Reynolds teased, "We're gonna be original, and all the letters in her name are silent," he said. "I want to give her something to push against in life."
Despite their private family life, Reynolds frequently notes his love for Lively, notably thanking her during his 2017 Hollywood Walk of Fame speech: "I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there who is everything to me," he said. "You make everything better. You make everything better in my life. You've given me two of the most incredible children I've ever hoped to have. You've made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential. So thank you, I love you."
