9 Dog Breeds That Look Like Puppies Even When They're Fully Grown

9 Dog Breeds That Look Like Puppies Even When They're Fully Grown

Puppies are irresistible. We fall in love with their big eyes, little button noses, fluffy tails, and clumsy paws. And yet, like any pet, puppies grow up and turn into dogs. Some breeds, like the Old English Sheepdog or Great Dane, will grow to become larger in size than most people. But not all dogs are destined to become giants. There are some breeds that stay small in size even when they're fully grown. You may want a forever puppy if you are used to smaller animals. Maybe you have a small apartment or just want a canine companion that you can easily carry along with you anywhere you go. Small dogs are also great for families with young children or those of senior age who are best matched with a breed they can physically handle. Fortunately, some specialty dog breeds are mixed to look like puppies throughout their entire lives—and they are sure to melt your heart the second you lay your eyes on them.

Kaitlyn and Rob

Although they were raised in the same town in Northern Westchester, New York, it wasn't until the summer of 2010 that Kaitlyn and Rob were introduced by a mutual childhood friend. After their first date, Rob pulled his car over and asked Kaitlyn to dance with him in the middle of the street to "I Just Want To Dance With You" by George Strait. "We've been inseparable since," says the bride.

Three years later, Kaitlyn was returning from dinner with a girlfriend to find a glow coming from inside her house in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She rushed inside thinking there was a fire, but instead found hundreds of candles, red roses, and Rob on one knee. She said yes, and the two began planning their dream wedding.

While on the hunt for a venue, Kaitlyn came across an article that detailed Locusts-on-Hudson—a sprawling estate located on the banks of the Hudson River that was once host to legendary parties attended by Grace Kelly, Cole Porter, and Louis Armstrong. The moment the couple saw the ivy-covered, neo-Baroque mansion, they knew it would be the perfect place to say, "I do."

And since they met on a summer evening, Kaitlyn and Rob found it appropriate to wed on June 20, 2015 (Midsummer's Eve). 130 guests joined them as they took inspiration from the Shakespearean romance A Midsummer Night's Dream with their planner and event designer Lyndsey Hamilton Events helping them create a magical dream of their own.

"My Vera Wang gown was classic romance come to life," says Kaitlyn. "As soon as I put it on, I knew it was 'the one.'" The dress's drop waist corset was flanked by pieces of tissue organza and bias-cut tulle that cascaded in a peplum effect down the back of the cathedral-length train.

Rob remembers thinking, "Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry!" as he watched Kaitlyn walk down the aisle with her father to Johann Sebastian Bach's "Cello Suite No.1 in G Major." Married in St. Sylvia's Roman Catholic Church, the couple participated in the lighting of a unity candle and the exchanging of rings after readings from Proverbs 31, Philippians 4, and John 15 were heard.

"I wanted it to reflect who Kaitlyn is: timeless and classic; effortless yet unique," says Rob of the J&B Family Jewelers engagement ring he found for his bride. Locusts-on-Hudson arranged for a wooden swing to be set up on the property so the pair could take this beautiful shot before joining their guests for cocktail hour.
