Turns out, the real-life Jon Snow does know something—his decision to marry Rose Leslie was undoubtedly a good one.

If there's one thing Kit Harington won't miss about the Game of Thrones universe, it's constantly being told that he-like his character, Jon Snow-knows absolutely nothing (if you're a fan of the show, you know the line!). The iconic phrase, "You know nothing, Jon Snow," was first said by the actor's onscreen love interest, Ygritte, played by Rose Leslie-who later became Harington's real-life wife.

Though it's more meaningful in the context of their fictional relationship, the defining line made it into the best man speech during their wedding, which took place last summer. Harington's brother, who stood by his side on the big day, however, turned the phrase on its head to pay homage to the couple's origins and honor the bride. "It was quite sweet actually," Harington told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "He said, 'Looking at the woman you're marrying shows you do know something, Jon Snow,' which is sweet."

That wasn't the only way that Harington and Leslie's wedding incorporated the hit HBO show. According to the Daily Mail, the duo's invitations were hilariously polished off with a Jon Snow stamp. The guest list, which featured several of their co-stars, including Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Clarke, also made for one big Game of Thrones reunion.

The couple became engaged in September 2017 and confirmed the happy news the old-fashioned way (they placed an announcement in a local paper!). They tied the knot in June 2018 with a romantic ceremony at the Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland; the pair's reception was held at the bride's family's castle.
