Prince William Says He Felt His Mother's Spirit at His Wedding
The royal dished on having his special day without Princess Diana.
Prince William and Prince Harry tell all in a new documentary about their famous mom, Princess Diana. Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy goes inside the brothers' relationships with the beloved royal. The project covers a range of topics, mostly addressing the princess's untimely death. And in one clip from the film, Duchess Kate's husband remembers his wedding without his mother by his side.
"When it came to the wedding, I did really feel that she was there," he revealed, according to People. "You know, there [are] times when you look to someone or something for strength and I very much felt she was there for me." The statement makes the Prince's marriage to Kate Middleton all the more special. The event-which was internationally reported on and widely publicized by the media-comes across as far more intimate with this sentiment in mind.
In the special, both Prince William and Prince Harry discuss what it means that their mother is gone. Even after all this time, talking about Princess Diana's death is hard for them. "Nevertheless, I think it's very important that [we're] here to do that," Prince Harry told People's reporters recently.
Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy will air on Monday, August 31st. For U.S. viewers, it will air at 10 p.m. and will be available on HBO.
