There's something about being in nature that can put you instantly at ease—which is just what you want from a honeymoon. And there are many places to embrace it, from a rainforest in Guatemala to the Tanzanian bush. If you're ready live out your flora-and-fauna-filled dreams come your first married trip, the following hotel destinations are sure to peak your interest.

The best part? We've put together a nature-filled guide for every type of honeymooner—for the beach-lover, the safari explorer, and everyone in between. Want to find the perfect balance between relaxation and rain forest hiking? Give the following luxury Guatemala or Bali resorts a chance. Are you feeling an oceanic setting? Put Hawaii and the Maldives on your radar—soak up the sun, swim, and explore to your heart's content. In addition to providing locations for each type of nature lover, we were also sure to include two options for each category—near and far. Whether you're looking to stay (relatively!) local, or take a trip halfway around the world, there's an adventure-packed destination here for you.

Ultimately, though, these unbelievable residences would make any outdoorsy person's year—and if you or your spouse-to-be is an animal lover, we just might make your decade. With locations in the heart of horse country (in both Wyoming and Uruguay!) and safari resorts in the middle of the dessert, you'll be able to truly discover where the wild things are. Ready to see all of these amazing hotels and resorts for yourself? Click through to discover your honeymoon location.

With its 19 rugged-luxe bungalows overlooking the Quexil Lagoon, there's a genuine sense of place at this ultra-eco-friendly resort, located on more than 300 acres of a private reserve. Couples can embark on a tropical fantasy with thrill-seeking adventures like ATV tours into the lush rainforest to spot ocelots, boars, and deer. You can also hike to Mayan ruins and take a boat to feed exotic spider monkeys. There are plenty of ways to relax as well: a hot-stone massage with Guatemalan jade, say, or just soaking in the scenery from your private Jacuzzi.

Jungle: Alila Ubud, Bali

No matter where you are—lounging by the pool, curled up on the terrace of one of the six new tree villas, indulging in an alfresco spa treatment—the vibrant, lush greenery and rice paddies of Bali's central foothills are so close you can practically touch. The majestic Ayung River, towering volcanoes, and free-spirited leaping monkeys only add to the ambience. Intimate courtyards and private gardens enhance the inherent romance of the boutique hotel—and if you want an escape from your escape, you can arrange visits to traditional mountain villages and compounds, 11th-century temples, a textile factory, and local markets.

The 50 Best Beach Honeymoons

Hawaii's smallest (and most un oiled) inhabited touristic island has a long stretch of pristine coral reef, and this recently renovated property overlooking a protected bay is an ideal base from which to dive in. There's a constant rotation of ways to explore—whale watching, scuba and snorkel trips, sunset sails, and surf safaris—as well as vessels to choose from, including a 50-foot catamaran and a six-seat outrigger canoe. Spotting all manner of sea life is practically guaranteed. There's plenty to keep you on solid ground, too—like the 213 beautifully redone accommodations (complete with custom furniture and artwork) and a Nobu outpost.

Beach: Hurawalhi, Maldives

There are countless reasons to tear yourself away from the silky sand that fronts this 90-villa resort. For starters, it's home to an underwater restaurant, where you'll dine on lobster and local yellowfin tuna while sitting almost 20 feet below sea level. The surrounding waters are home to one of the most plentiful manta-ray habitats on the planet—and you can swim alongside these enormous, majestic creatures. An on-site dive team will facilitate expeditions for all skill levels, and deep-sea fishing, parasailing, and waterskiing are also available. Couples can even take part in workshops run by Hurawalhi's resident marine biologist.

Discover the Most Romantic Honeymoon Destinations in the World

Take romance to the range at this Jackson Hole property. The private club—ideally located for visits to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks—only just began offering overnight accommodations to nonmembers, from a beautiful sporting cabin overlooking majestic Wolf Mountain to groovy one-bedroom tiny homes. You could spend all day on horseback, exploring many of its 800 acres (including six miles of private Snake River access). If you're there in the summer, don't miss the Jackson Hole Rodeo to catch real cowboys competing.

Ranch-Style: Estancia Vik José Ignacio, Uruguay

Dusty countryside meets South American-style luxury at this 4,000-acre getaway. Couples can lean in to cowboy culture at its stable of 25 Criollo horses, and saddle up for lessons or guided rides. You can also try your hand at polo on the regulation field, go fishing in the lagoon, or take scenic hikes—all while keeping your eyes peeled for rare birds, wild o riches, and armadillos. Before retiring to one of 12 spare yet handsome suites—each outfitted in unexpectedly cutting-edge works from a different artist—fill up on grilled skirt steak and creamy mushroom polenta at El Asador restaurant. (Once a week, the property hosts an all-day asado, or traditional barbecue.) And for your nightcap, sip a caipiroska, a citrusy mix of vodka, lime, and sugar.

Wild Life: Nimmo Bay Resort, British Columbia

No roads lead to this family-owned nine-cabin lodge set in the red-cedar-and-Sitka-spruce-filled Great Bear Rainforest. There's room for up to 20 guests, who arrive via helicopter or float plane. Stays include excursions to (hopefully) see mother black bears teaching cubs to forage mussels on the beach, or humpback and orca whales breaching and tail-slapping. And the unimaginably remote property shares the waters with many pods of Pacific white-sided dolphins, who will happily play in the wake of your boat. Fly-fishing and other wilderness adventures to see glaciers are also on offer—but to get there, you have to take one of Nimmo Bay's helicopters up, up, and away. Note: The resort is open from early May to the end of October.

10 Safari Camps to Visit for a Wild Honeymoon

Ruaha National Park is the country's largest—nearly 5 million acres—but it's only recently earned a spot on the traveler's map. It currently has just 10 camps, and this property from the Asilia safari company will usher in a new level of luxury. It resides in a remote corner, assuring guests a wildlife experience void of crowds—besides the zebras, giraffes, and lions, of course. (In fact, prides of 20 or more lions are frequently seen roaming the land.) Eight suites with private decks and rain showers overlook landscapes of palms and baobabs, and during siesta time between game drives, you can relax at the infinity pool or spa. Note: Dry season (from June to the end of October) is the best time to go.
