Communication is critical to any marriage—especially high-profile unions, like the one Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen share. According to the football star, he and his wife stay in sync by practicing one simple rule: "We use a term in our house: CCC. Clear, current communication," Brady said in an interview on In the Room with E! News.

The New England Patriots quarterback went on to explain, "Clear, like, 'This is exactly how I'm feeling.' And current, not like, 'This happened six months ago,'" he said. "And you communicate about it. I think that's helped us a lot."

While both Brady and Bündchen maintain busy careers, the athlete also told the outlet that he makes his relationship and family life priorities to achieve a balance. "All those things have their nuances and their challenges," he said. "But if you're committed to 'em and you prioritize 'em, then you figure out how to make 'em work."

The celebrity couple has now been married for 10 years; Brady previously revealed what makes his long-lasting union with Bündchen so special. "I just love having to come home to someone that engages me every night. She makes me laugh," Brady said in an interview on Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul Sunday. "She flies in the sky and she's so creative and I'm very rooted. So she stretches me in ways without her I couldn't be stretched." They also rely on each other and their marriage, he explained: "She can always count on me and I can always count on her."
