If there's one thing we love about Bridal Fashion Week, it's seeing how our favorite wedding dress designers interpret (and create!) the current trend climate. Even the most timeless and traditional collections are punctuated by of-the-moment accents, turning them into mini time capsules that highlight the very best of contemporary design. Luckily for brides shopping for wedding dresses in the upcoming year, the bridal gowns that debuted during Spring 2019 Bridal Fashion Week brought a fresh batch of trends to the table.
The best part? They're all incredibly wearable. From feminine bows at Amsale, Lela Rose, and Monique Lhuillier to bold geometric patterns at Naeem Khan and Berta, there's something here that any bride, with any type of personal style, would love. That's because no two designers interpreted these trends the same way. Take the puffed sleeve, for example. If you love the idea of wearing a voluminous sleeve that would rival that of a Victorian Era bride's, put Ines di Santo on your radar. Searching for something subtle and bohemian-inspired? Check out Leanne Marshall's newest designs for an entirely different take on the style.
Separates and one-piece styles were also standouts. We were blown away by a lacey short-and-jacket ensemble by Mira Zwillinger and a glitter-encrusted jumpsuit at Naeem Khan (complete with the prettiest cape overlay!). Speaking of glitter—the Spring 2019 runways were covered in varying degrees of sparkle, ranging from the coolest metallic sheath at Jenny Packham to plenty of iridescent fringe from Oleg Cassini.

Bows
First up? The bows of tomorrow. These pretty loops have brought dainty vibes to wedding dresses season after season, but we can officially say that bows are beginning to pack a different kind of punch. After all, they're capable of doing more than simply defining a bride's waist (although we love that, too!). This season, watch out for larger-than-life-bows that act as trains, sweet loops that make the prettiest straps, and metal versions that (literally) tie entire looks together.Â

Geometric
We'll never tire of intricate Chantilly lace or opaque satin, but new-age geometric patterns and cuts are definitely on the rise. And for good reason. Whatever the interpretation—the style covers everything from crystal lattice beadwork to mod necklines—this trend is the result of the latest in cutting-edge design technology.Â

Go ahead and put glitz and glamour on your wedding dress must-have list. Countless designers sent sparkly creations down this season's runways, all with varying degrees of glittery intensity. Puffed Sleeves
We're not talking about balloon-sized sleeves that defined your mom's '80s wedding dress. This season was all about the statement sleeve, but they were sheer, cloud-like, and Victorian-inspired. They also came in all lengths, from short accent cap sleeves to long billowing varieties. Others, though, brought the oomph in different ways, with modular, layered panels and accentuated shoulders.
