The Big Bang Theory's Wedding Photos Will Warm Your Heart
They'll make you say 'Bazinga!'
We all know that a wedding without a little family drama is rare, so it's no surprise that Leonard and Penny's vow renewal is filled with a few mishaps courtesy of their loved ones. In the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory next week, the couple will host a vow renewal ceremony with all of their friends and family in tow. We've met some family members in previous seasons, like Leonard's parents, Beverly and Alfred (Christine Baranski and Judd Hirsch), Sheldon's mom, Mary (Laurie Metcalf), and Penny's dad, Wyatt (Keith Carradine), but there are also some new faces including guest stars Katey Sagal and Jack McBrayer, who become part of the family as Penny's anxious mother, Susan, and problem-ridden brother, Randall. Breaking Bad's Dean Norris also makes an appearance as an Air Force representative interested in Leonard and Sheldon's quantum gyroscope.
CBS released photos of the garden wedding, and we can't get enough of them. Penny's ceremony look is simple and modest: a short dress and nude flats, complete with a floral crown.
In addition to a photo sneak peek, the show's executive producer Steve Molaro hinted at family issues to Entertainment Weekly: "As we know, her brother, Randall, has been a bit of trouble over the years, selling drugs and being in and out of jail, and that's put a lot of stress on her mom," Molaro explained. "You will pick up on the tensions between her and her brother very quickly, and you get a glimpse of Penny and her dad being caught in the middle of that."
Despite the familial issues, it's Penny and Leonard's union that you won't want to miss. Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory premieres Monday, September 19th at 8 p.m. on CBS.
