Today, so many couples lean towards minimalist wedding themes (think all-white color palettes, acrylic details, and mini cluster centerpieces)—so it may be easy to fall into that mindset when planning your own big day. You don't have to follow this trend, however: If want a larger-than-life, over-the-top event, then that's the party you should plan. To do so, you'll want to fill your big day with the most glamorous details out there.

If "glitz and glam" sounds like your ideal wedding aesthetic, but you aren't sure how to translate it across your décor landscape, let the following photos guide you. Ahead, you'll discover everything from gilded table settings, extravagant tall centerpieces, and even glamorous outfit inspiration from real brides and grooms. Still not sure where to start? We'd recommended choosing a venue that suits your vision. The hall at Palais Liechtenstein, seen here, was already equipped with an intricate chandelier and golden accents—both screamed glamour. Since the locale's bones already spoke to the couple's theme, all A Very Beloved Wedding had to do was select matching chairs and plates and work in compote centerpieces from A Very Beloved Bloom to complete the elegant look.

However, you'll soon discover there's more to a glamorous theme than just palatial venues. Not matter where you decide to tie the knot, know that you can easily give it a glam upgrade with these ideas. Add a bit of luxury to your garden setting with elegant hanging floral installations or treat your guests like royalty by sending them home with mini bottles of Champagne. However you decide to make your wedding more glamorous, these wedding details will ensure your luxurious big day goes off without a hitch.

Marbled Invitations

Marbled Invitations Fit for a Modern Wedding

Introduce your guests to your luxe theme as soon as they receive their invitations. The best way to do that? By using plenty of gold and marble. Amber Moon Design created these stone-inspired paper goods, complete with gilded calligraphy by Anne Robin and a locust-tree drawing from Karina Puente.

Naturally, you and your new husband or wife will want to dress to the nines for your glamorous event—but you don't have to search for the most over-the-top attire. This bride's subtle, but sophisticated Sareh Nouri number matched her groom's black-and-white tuxedo from The Black Tux at their wedding, which was planned and designed by Simply Sunshine Events.

Gold and Pink

Credit: Rebecca Yale Photography

If gold is part of your tablescape's color palette, you won't need much else to make your place settings feel luxurious. Looking for a little something extra? Make like Ro & Co. Events and add in subtle pops of color through your plates and florals. The pink in this Casa de Perrin dinnerware and arrangement by Oak & the Owl accented and elevated this setup.

Tall Confection

Over-the-Top Wedding Cakes We Can't Get Enough Of

Your glamorous wedding cake table should be as opulent as your confection. This Elizabeth's Cake Emporium dessert consisted of seven tiers and featured lifelike sugar flowers that referenced this celebration's elaborate floral chuppah (which was placed over the sweet station during the reception) by Amie Bone Flowers.

Elegant Venue

Credit: Greg Finck

A glamorous wedding can take place just about anywhere, but a palace seems like the most relevant venue. Opt for one with lofty ceilings, gilded elements, and intricate architecture to really highlight your chosen aesthetic. This couple selected Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron and tapped A Very Beloved Wedding, Ponk Rentals, and A Very Beloved Bloom to dress up the space with pink tablecloths and gold details that referenced the surrounding space.

Glam Bridal Party

Credit: Leila Brewster Photography
Find More mismatched bridal party inspiration here

If you want your bridal party to feel just as glam as you do, then sparkly dresses are a no-brainer. That's why this bride outfitted her 'maids in mismatched Monique Lhuillier ensembles. The sequined gowns made a statement while the solid pink dresses kept the collective look sophisticated.

Ball Gown

Nothing says glamorous quite like a ball gown. So, channel this bride (who stunned in a Monique Lhuillier gown with a full skirt) when choosing your bridal attire. To top off your look, opt for a dramatic veil.

All White

There's something so luxurious about lace—which makes dressing your tables up in the material all the more appropriate. Caroline Dutton Events covered this setup in linens from La Tavola and Nüage Designs. Tall floral arrangements (these were from Sweet Root Village) will only add to the grandeur of your reception.

Floral-Filled Cake

Our Favorite Monogrammed Wedding Cakes

Even your wedding cake can get a glamorous upgrade. The trick? Add an intricate lace design on each layer and a gold monogram, like Palermo's Bakery did here with this four tier. Take advantage of the spaces in between each section by filling it with plenty of florals (these were provided by Laurelwood Designs).

Crowns That Will Make Any Bride Feel Like Royalty

A glamorous castle venue calls for an over-the-top bridal look. This bride walked the halls of Oheka Castle in a sparkly gown by Galia Lahav and a tiara—an appropriate accessory.

Ensure the celebrating (and luxury) doesn't stop once the party is over by handing out mini bottles of Champagne as favors. These gifts were tied off with ribbons calligraphed with each guest's name.

Airy Venue

Hanging Décor Ideas Guaranteed to Elevate Your Wedding

To incorporate a bit of glamour into an airy venue like Castello di Torcrescenz, you don't have to crowd it with large gold elements. In fact, you can make it feel just as elegant and ethereal with hanging floral installations. Brenda Babcock  and Noosheens did just that by suspending flowers from the rafters and chandeliers.

Elevated Centerpiece

Gold isn't the only thing that will make a glamorous statement on your reception tables—a colorful centerpiece will also do the trick. For proof, look to this setup by The Timeless Stylist. The pros tapped Moss & Stone Floral Design to create a wild mix of garden roses and other flowers. To ensure all the focus was on the arrangement, the table was accented with hints of gold, found in the plates from Duchess & Butler.

Covered in Flowers

Credit: Brocato Photography

Searching for a way to make your all-white confection fit your glamorous theme? Just ask your florist and baker to work together to create a cake that's covered in flowers. Pure Cake Nola was responsible for this three tier, while Kim Starr Wise added breath-taking floral arrangements to the base and each section of the dessert.

Alternative Entertainment Ideas for a Unique Wedding Reception

For your reception entertainment, skip a DJ in exchange for a string trio—the soft music will set a sophisticated mood. Still want to play contemporary tunes on your big day? Find a band like Jazz Around Midnight, seen here, who treated attendees to both the classics and today's hits at this glamorous event.

Regal Room

Credit: Quattro Studio

If your reception room is as regal as this one at Villa Cora, you may want to keep your floral arrangements and table linens minimal. That doesn't mean they can't be glam, however. Although The Tuscan Wedding chose mixes of white and blush garden roses from Il Giardino delle Fate, the tablescapes' centerpieces still felt extravagant due to their height and crystal hangings.

Gold and White

Looking to set a more understated, but still-glam scene on your reception tables? Make like After the Engagement and place a white plate on top of a gold charger (these were provided by Platinum Event Rentals). The subtle metallic hue, along with a white orchid from Branches Floral Studio, softened the tables' overarching aesthetic.
