Amal Clooney Is Pregnant with Twins!
George and Amal will reportedly welcome their babies in June.
It seems that twins are the new "it" thing: multiple sources have confirmed that Amal and George Clooney are expecting twins. On Thursday morning's The Talk, Julie Chen revealed that she had spoken with George in late January, who told her the news. But this morning best friend and co-star Matt Damon confirmed that Clooney is going to be a dad.
"We were working together last fall and he came up to me on set and took me aside and told me and I was so happy for him," Damon told Natalie Morales on the Today show this morning. "I said, 'How far along is she?' And he said 'eight weeks!' And I said, 'Don't say anything!' He didn't know the 12-week rule. You're supposed to wait!"
While Amal has been pregnant for some time, an insider then revealed to Us Weekly that the Clooneys are expecting two babies due in June. It makes sense, since this past Monday, Amal was spotted wearing a loose-fitting dress, leading people to believe she was hiding a baby bump.
"Those kids are really lucky," Damon said. "She's spectacular...He'll be great. He's so smart, he's so loving. He's going to be great." But that doesn't mean he won't need a little help. "Well that's the thing..." Damon said. "I mean twins? They're going to need help."
Amal and George married in Venice in September 2014, surrounded by friends like Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and Anna Wintour, to name a few. The notoriously private pair have shared some details about their marriage, like the proposal that went very wrong and the gift George gave Amal for their first wedding anniversary.
We're so excited about a set of Clooney twins! Can you just imagine how beautiful and smart their children will be?!
