Julianne Hough Dishes on Her Upcoming Wedding to Brooks Laich
We've been waiting for Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich to say "I do" ever since they got engaged in August 2015. But recently, Julianne has given us hope that the wedding will be soon-as in this year. While on a break from rehearsals for her upcoming tour, the Move-Beyond-Live on Tour, with brother Derek, the bride-to-be sat down with ET and gave her fans the wedding scoop they wanted to hear.
"It's happening, I'll put it that way," she said. "This is the time that worked for everybody. It's not necessarily happening soon soon, but it's coming up." We'll take it! She even went into more detail about the nuptials, and what she's most excited for on the wedding day. If you know anything about Julianne, this one is a no-brainer-her first dance with Brooks, naturally! And believe it or not, the hockey player is ready to show off his own dancing skills. "I never thought that we would do [a choreographed dance], but [Brooks] really wants to do a first dance and have it be like a special thing," she said. "Even before we met, as a kid he really wanted to dance. He's always wanted to dance. One night we were kind of sitting around, and [Brooks] just started full out bursting out the dance. He is so himself and doesn't care at all what people think He's like, 'Yeah, this is it!' He's good."
So we know that the wedding will be "soon," that the couple's first dance is already choreographed, and that Julianne has already had her bachelorette party (or should we say beachlorette?). And it was an epic one, to say the least. Julianne celebrated her upcoming nuptials with her closest girl friends and family members, including best friend Nina Dobrev, Cindy Crawford, and even Kris Jenner. "I don't want to get into too much detail but I will say, to be able to have different generations coming together-and they gave me tidbits of advice-was really special. It was a really fun day," Julianne said.
With Julianne's big tour and a busy hockey schedule for Brooks, the couple has a plan in place to make their long distance romance work. "He's still in his season, so we're going to try and do an every other week thing if he's done with his season where he comes on tour for a week and comes back and yeah," Julianne said. "You got to make it work. I love it."
