Prince Harry's Former Girlfriend Cressida Bonas Is Engaged to Another Harry
Just wait until you see her engagement ring.
Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry's former girlfriend, is set to wed Harry—Harry Wentworth-Stanley, that is. Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley, a real estate agent and son of Clare Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven, became engaged over the weekend in Nantucket; the groom-to-be announced the happy news on Instagram with a selfie of the duo that also showed off Bonas' circular diamond engagement ring (it appears to feature an oversized halo setting, dotted with red stones). "We getting married," read his caption.
Royal fans will remember that Prince Harry and Bonas dated for two years, following an introduction by Princess Eugenie, before amicably parting ways in 2014. Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley, whose step-father happens to be Queen Elizabeth II's cousin, actually briefly dated before the socialite was linked to Prince Harry. E! News notes that the couple seemingly rekindled their relationship in 2017 and have been together ever since.
Following Wentworth-Stanley's Instagram announcement, well wishes began pouring in. Most notably, Kate Middleton's brother offered his congratulations. "So wonderful," James Middleton wrote alongside a string of red heart emojis.
As for Prince Harry and Bonas? The two remain on good terms. In fact, she attended his royal wedding to Meghan Markle in May 2018. While the actress was happy to witness the nuptials, she did admit to one worry—which involved the mandatory hat part of the dress code. "Why do I find hats to tricky? Tricky to wear, tricky to look at, and extremely tricky for the poor soul sitting in the pew behind," she opened up to Spectator. "Most of the time I avoid headgear. This can prompt disapproving looks from the older generations. Last weekend I attended the royal wedding. The invitation clearly stated that guests must wear hats. Yikes," she continued. "I opted for a minimal feathered number—and I can only hope I got it right."
