Modern Chignon

Hairstylist Yann Varin created what he calls a "young, lively version" of the classic twist by prepping hair with L'Oréal Professionnel True Grip ($17, lpsalons.com), sectioning it into thirds, and securing the middle piece into a low ponytail. He twisted the other two sections around the pony, pinned them at the nape, braided the loose ends together, and tucked the braid under the elastic. A headband finished the look.

Short and Sleek

For this chic pixie, Varin skipped styling products. He crisscrossed two large bobby pins in an X shape below the crown of the head to form an anchor for the veil's comb, brushed the ends of hair over the pins, and secured the comb into place.

Stylist Wade Lee dabbed Kérastase Lift Vertige ($36, kerastase-usa.com) on roots before blow-drying, then back-combed hair to add height at the crown. He pulled it into a loose ponytail with strategically placed, hidden bobby pins and added a Tarbay brooch to the style ($95, tarbay.com).

Bohemian Braid
Seen at: Marchesa Bridal
To give hair texture, hairstylist Akemi Tamaribuchi layered Kérastase Ciment Thermique, Mousse Bouffante, and Spray-A-Porter (from $35 each, kerastase-usa.com) on dry hair and separated it into three sections. She braided the middle piece, coiled it into an S, and pinned it in place. Then she divided the remaining sections into pin curls above the braid.

Before blow-drying hair straight, stylist Rolando Beauchamp spritzed on Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray ($28, bumbleandbumble.com). After drying, he curled sections with a 1 1⁄2-inch round iron.
