Sasha Obama Will Be a Bridesmaid for an Upcoming White House Wedding
And Malia may or may not be, too.
Another White House wedding is underway, and our favorite first family is playing a role. According to their wedding website, presidential employees Kristen Jarvis and Shaun West are set to tie the knot in November at a ballroom in the Bellevue Conference and Event Center outside of Washington D.C. Jarvis, the first lady's ex-chief of staff, met West, a former secret service agent, on the job-but that's not the only work-related relationship she developed. A scroll through the bridal party list reveals a very special guest: first daughter Sasha Obama.
"If you know me, you know my love for this chica right here," writes Jarvis, citing the pair's apparent big-sister-little-sister bond. "I've known Sasha since she was three years old, and I couldn't be more proud of the young woman she has become." Describing Sasha as "one of the sweetest and down-right coolest" people she's ever known, Jarvis adds that she feels "blessed to have been part of her life from such an early age" and would do anything for Michelle and Barack Obama's 15-year-old daughter.
Though the wedding website hasn't confirmed, TMZ thinks Malia Obama may also be carrying a bridesmaid bouquet. As for FLOTUS and POTUS, the former will be in attendance, while the latter is reportedly skipping out.
We can't wait to see the girls in their wedding best, or for that matter, the wedding itself! With reports of a $300,000 D'Concierge wedding planner and musical appearances by Ledisi, Eric Benet, Kenny Lattimore, and DJ B-Hen, how couldn't it be spectacular?
