Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn Are Reportedly Married!
The couple allegedly wed in December 2018 at the singer's estate.
It appears as though Ed Sheeran is a married man! The singer and his fiancée, Cherry Seaborn, reportedly tied the knot in a super-secret ceremony just before Christmas, according to The Sun. The romantic ceremony is believed to have taken place at Sheeran's English country estate in Suffolk.
"It was very quiet-just Ed's oldest school pals, limited family, and the priest," a source told the publication. "He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them–just a tiny winter wedding." The insider added that the easy-going couple wasn't "that fussed" about the big day. The outlet's source confirmed that the intimate ceremony was attended by only 40 friends and family members; none of Sheeran's celebrity friends-including Taylor Swift, who was involved in the couple's meet-cute-made the guest list.
The couple's small wedding news comes as no surprise, especially since Sheeran has always maintained that he's envisioned an intimate celebration. The star told Entertainment Tonight that he doesn't like "large groups of people" and that, in his opinion, smaller and simpler ceremonies have "good vibes."
The couple has been extremely secretive about their engagement and wedding plans after announcing their intention to marry via Instagram back in January of 2018, a month after the proposal actually happened. Since then, Sheeran has addressed the news just a handful of times-mainly to deflect rumors that the duo had already tied the knot. Those reports started circulating in February 2018, after he was spotted wearing what appeared to be a wedding band. At the time, Sheeran was quick to deny the speculation, and E! News that the band was actually an engagement ring: "I never saw why men didn't wear engagement rings. It's the same commitment either way. Cherry made it for me herself out of silver clay. I really like it."
