Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Welcome Baby Number Two!
There's a new baby in town! Actress Blake Lively has given birth to her second baby with husband and actor Ryan Reynolds.
A source told Us Weekly that Lively's sister Robyn and BFF Taylor Swift visited the happy couple in the hospital this week. The pair, known for keeping their lives private, hasn't shared the gender or name of the baby just yet. But we do know that Lively and Reynolds are slowly accomplishing something they both want: a huge family.
"It's something that I've always wanted since I was a little girl," Lively told Us Weekly in 2014. "I never knew what I wanted to do for a living, but I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids…it was always important to me." It makes sense that she and Reynolds would be on the same page: They both come from big families.
The two were married in an intimate Charleston ceremony in September 2012 (see our exclusive photos from the wedding!) and welcomed their first baby, James, now a big sister, in late December of 2014. They announced the second pregnancy earlier this year in April, and ever since, Lively has been crushing maternity style.
Lively and Reynolds seem to be naturals at parenting, too. In the August 2016 issue of Marie Claire UK, Lively said that she will give James the option to be in the public eye. "My husband and I chose a profession and a side effect of that is your personal life is public," she said. "So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had. We can't really throw her into the lion's den that is L.A., not that we really want to."
We're assuming the same will be said for baby number two. Lively and Reynolds have much to celebrate with their new child and four-year wedding anniversary. Congrats to the parents and big sis James!
