Bridal Selection, Fitting, Hair, and Veil
Known for their sumptuous fabrics, chic silhouettes, and exquisite embroidery, Reem Acra's luxurious gowns have gained great popularity among modern brides. Today, Martha Stewart Weddings sweepstakes winner Kelly Cozzens and her mother take a trip to the designer's exclusive New York City atelier to choose the perfect wedding dress and have a first fitting.
After trying on several dresses of various styles, from full, romantic gowns to sleeker sheaths, Kelly settles on a white, satin, A-line gown whose illusion bodice and short sleeves are embellished with embroidery. At that point, Reem and her team of seamstresses take all of Kelly's measurements, which they will, in turn, use to create her dream gown.
From there, the bride and her mother are visited by distinguished New York City stylist and salon owner Valery Joseph, who helps Kelly select a complementary hairstyle. After settling on an elegant updo, which beautifully showcases the embroidered detail on the dress's back, Kelly completes her bridal look with a stunning finishing touch -- a dramatic, flowing veil.
