Alex Rodriguez Got Candid About Those Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Double Date Rumors
The athlete and Jennifer Lopez allegedly had dinner with the royal couple in Miami last month.
It's no secret that Alex Rodriguez is in a high-profile relationship with Jennifer Lopez—which means they have equally high-profile friends. It makes sense, then, that the pair also goes out on a star-studded double date every now and then. That was allegedly the case last month: Multiple sources reported that Rodriguez and Lopez had dinner with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Miami, at 1Hotel South Beach's restaurant, Habitat.
While on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rodriguez was asked about those rumors, head on, reports E! News. When Jimmy asked the former athlete the question everyone has been aching to know, Rodriguez stayed tight-lipped—but didn't exactly deny the speculation, either! "Did you and Jennifer Lopez recently go on a double date with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? And if so, who paid?" Jimmy asked. The former athlete's hilarious response? "I signed an NDA," he said. While we probably won't ever know if the double date actually happened, Alex's response had Jimmy convinced. "I'll take that as you did," Jimmy noted.
As The Tonight Show interview continued, another pressing detail came up: His wedding day. Keeping with his go-to answer of the night, the athlete went with this response: "NDA," he said. "I can't talk about the wedding, I wanna be able to get home." Though Rodriguez is staying mum about his impending nuptials, previous reports note that the couple is currently working out the details for the big day after preparations were put on pause. "J. Lo and Alex's wedding is supposed to be this summer after postponing it because of her filming schedule, her Super Bowl performance, and other work commitments," a source told Us Weekly. "She is finally ready to shift her focus to wedding planning and making that a top priority."
With wedding planning full steam ahead, the two are overjoyed to begin married life, the Us Weekly insider continued. "They make each other so incredibly happy and J. Lo truly found the man of her dreams and A. Rod found the woman of his," the source explained. "They couldn't imagine life without one another in it and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together."
