Beyoncé & Jay Z Had Reportedly "Given Up" Trying to Have Another Child
In the best pregnancy announcement there ever was, Beyoncé shared with fans that she was expecting twins. And while the world freaked out about the most-liked Instagram of all time, what seemed like a meticulously planned and glamorous pregnancy was much more difficult for Beyoncé and Jay Z. Us Weekly reports that the superstar couple "had given up" trying to get pregnant.
It shouldn't come as a complete shock to the BeyHive that expanding the Carter family wasn't a walk in the park for their Queen. In her 2013 documentary Beyoncé: Life Is but a Dream, the superstar revealed that she suffered a miscarriage before giving birth to Blue Ivy. A source told the magazine the two "had been trying and trying to conceive," and were "frustrated" after in vitro fertilization treatments didn't work. "They were looking into surrogates and adoption," the source said.
But then-it happened. Bey and Jay are "over the moon" about their two babies, but not as much as 5-year-old Blue Ivy. "She was asking about another baby forever, now she gets two!"
No wonder Beyoncé's pregnancy announcement was so over-the-top! Photographer Awol Erizku captured the exciting moment with an already iconic photo shoot, which Bey later shared on her website. To accompany the new photos, the Lemonade singer also revealed never-before-seen pictures of her wedding, honeymoon, and more. We're so excited for the Carter family, and can't wait to see Queen Bey rock some stunning maternity style this weekend at the Grammys!
