/*-->*//*-->*//*-->*/Alexandra Grecco released her first ready-to-wear collection in 2011. But it wasn't until 2013, when she was searching for her own wedding dress, that she became interested in designing for the bridal industry. That interest soon led to her first collection of wedding gowns, which she launched in 2014 to complement her one-of-a-kind aesthetic. Ever since, the designer's been making ethereal looks created with the less-traditional bride in mind.
Grecco's dresses are always dreamy and bring something a little bit modern to the world of wedding dresses. Unique shapes and creative detailing set her collections apart from the rest. Last season, she revealed styles that ranged from cold-shouldered dresses to two-piece numbers. This season, she continues to stay on top of timely bridal trends.
The latest collection draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including France's Île de Ré and a 1920s circus. The collection features soft, unique pastels reminiscent of those found on the island's buildings, for example, and playful, free-spirited accents like feathers and shimmering beads. According to the brand, the collection's floral designs—which are based off of blooms from Île de Ré and hand-embroidered onto illusion tulle—are "made to look like tattoos."
