Cara Santana Shares Her Best Beauty and Style Tips for Bridesmaids
The engaged actress knows a thing or two about weddings.
Cara Santana is no stranger to the beauty, style, and bridal worlds. She's the founder of beauty service The Glam App, she just helped launch a bridesmaid dress with Vow To Be Chic, and she's currently planning her wedding to fiancé Jesse Metcalfe. We spoke with the Santa Clarita Diet actress to tap into her expansive experience. Here, she gives us her best wedding tips, from how to dress your 'maids to the best makeup look to let your girls shine.
On bridesmaid beauty:
Santana is a fan of the no-makeup makeup look, which she recommends for an effortless, flattering finish. "Looking like an enhanced version of yourself on your BFF's big day is way chicer than looking like an overdone version of yourself!" she advises.
On bridesmaid fashion:
While the entrepreneur won't dish on her own bridesmaids' dresses ("stay tuned," the actress coyly says), she does have some advice for other brides and their besties. "I love when brides allow their bridesmaids to wear different styles of a similar dress. This allows each woman to dress for themselves and how they feel most confident," she shares. "It's a modern approach and my favorite trend."
For inspiration, consider the "Cara" dress. It's the first of a capsule collection by Monique Lhuillier and available exclusively at Vow To Be Chic, a rental service for designer dresses. According to Santana, the gown comes with endless styling potential. "From red carpet wedding to a boho beach moment-this dress can be styled any way. There's not a wedding this couldn't work for," she says.
