Ricky Martin Is Engaged to Boyfriend Jwan Yosef!

While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday, Ricky Martin had some surprises to share with the audience. First, he announced his Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at the Monte Carlo hotel. Then, he shared that he and his boyfriend, Jwan Yosef, are engaged!

Martin met Yosef about a year ago when he was looking for new art to add to his collection. "He's a conceptual artist and I'm a collector," Martin said. "I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And then I contacted him." DeGeneres joked, "And then you collected him."

You could call it love at first sight. When Martin saw Yosef, he knew. After dating for a couple of months, Martin decided to pop the question.

"I was really nervous, and I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box," Martin explained. "I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, 'Will you marry me?' I said, 'I got you something!' Bad. Then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you,' and he was like, 'What is the question?'" Martin asked Yosef to marry him, and joked that it took him thirty minutes to realize that Yosef said yes.

Now, the happy couple is engaged and both wear engagement rings. Martin, who is a parent of 8-year-old twin boys Matteo and Valentino, said that Yosef and the boys get along great. "They love each other," he said. "It's perfect, Ellen. It's been really special."
