What We Love Right Now
Working at Martha Stewart Weddings means stumbling upon incredible finds every single day. So, each week, one of our editors will spotlight a few of their current obsessions-from a cool stationer to a fresh new baker to an under-the-radar wedding-dress designer to must-have accessories for your rehearsal dinner-to hopefully help inspire your own wedding day. This week, Special Projects Editor Anthony Luscia shares what he's loving now.
Mario Badescu Skin Care
I have been exposed to a tremendous amount of skincare products after spending over 10 years as an editor at Martha Stewart Weddings. But it's not just brides who need to prep their skin-grooms do too! I like products that are clean, simple, and effective-enter Mario Badescu's skin care line. Use a few swipes of the brand's cleansing lotion before bedtime to remove the grime of the day and follow it with the moisturizer for a routine that's really easy to maintain leading up to the wedding.
When it comes to getting groomed, I treat myself like a groom all the time! Like the bride, the groom needs to have a wedding hair consultation. Martial Vivot, a men's salon in New York City, has a great program for grooms and groomsmen to help them acheive the right look.
Recently, I hosted an event with the salon celebrating their wedding-day program for men-above is a photo of myself with the owner Martial. If you don't live in New York, you can order their products on their website!
Patch NYC designers Don Carney and John Ross have an amazing collection of fashion and home accessories. I've been obsessed with their Stag candles (a woodsy-yet-fresh scent) for years-they're perfect as a groomsmen gift or simply to burn for any special occasion.
