Prince William Reveals Kate Middleton's Guilty Pleasure Television Show—and Says He Watches, Too
The Duchess of Cambridge enjoys reality TV, just like us.
They may be royalty, but The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoy relaxing in front of the television as much as anyone else. And thanks to Prince William, we now know what Kate Middleton does when her official duties are done and the kids are in bed—she watches her favorite British reality TV show. The future Queen consort is actually a fan of reality dancing competitions, more specifically the U.K. hit Strictly Come Dancing—the equivalent of America's Dancing with the Stars.
At a recent charity gala, Prince William met with some of the stars of Strictly Come Dancing and revealed that his wife really enjoys the competition. Head judge Shirley Ballas asked the royal if he he also watches, to which he replied, "I have watched the show a couple of times," People reports. He went on to share that, "Catherine is a huge fan and my mother-in-law loves it."
Now that we know what Kate Middleton likes to watch, many royal fans are probably wondering what Prince William's show of choice is. Although he hasn't divulged his favorite show, fans do know one show he doesn't watch: The Crown. "I was so excited and asked, 'Have you watched it?'" The Crown actress Olivia Colman (who plays Queen Elizabeth in the upcoming season) recently revealed. "His answer was a firm, 'No.' But he was very charming and very lovely."
Of course, even if reality dancing competitions aren't his guilty pleasure of choice, as they are for his wife, we know that Prince William has his own. While many official dinners with his grandmother involve a lot of pomp and circumstance, Prince William enjoys a slice of pizza on the couch when he is off-duty, much to his wife's chagrin. "You're a nightmare with that!" she said last year, according to People.
