Mary-Kate Olsen *Finally* Discusses Her Marriage (Sort Of)
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen-of Full House, so many of our favorite childhood movies, and fashion fame-are known for keeping their private lives, well, private. The two have steered clear of social media and never discuss their relationships with the press, which makes Mary-Kate's recent interview a a big deal to fans.
The designer and former actress spoke with Net-a-Porter's The Edit, and for the first time ever, she revealed something about her married life. As it turns out, fame doesn't change much-like all good partnerships, Olsen's marriage thrives on balance.
"I have a husband, two step-kids, and a life," she told the site's magazine, referencing her busy schedule and her relationship with hubby Oliver Sarkozy. But Olsen makes balancing family and work easier by taking time for herself. "You find the thing that helps you relax and if you don't have it, you have to look for it." Otherwise, "you get burned out and then you're not productive." Her me-time hobby? Riding "horses on the weekends."
Olsen's wedded wisdom is definitely worth remembering-getting hitched doesn't (and shouldn't!) require sacrificing time alone.
Olsen is also in the news for something else nuptial: she and sister Ashley were spotted attending a weekend a few weeks ago. The twins joined Sarkozy and Ashley's boyfriend Richard Sachs on a four-day celebratory stay in New Zealand, People reports. Both women wore black (of course) and were perfectly-chic guests.
We hope to slowly but surely learn more details of the Olsens' relationships. Maybe even a Mary-Kate wedding photo? Hey, we can dream!
