Stephanie and Charles’s Casual BBQ Rehearsal Dinner in Maui
A Hawaiian Welcome
On the eve of Stephanie and Charles's destination wedding, the couple welcomed their guests to Hawaii with a BBQ dinner at a family friend’s property in the upcountry of Maui. The soiree's style was influenced Paniolos (aka Hawaiian cowboys). "A lot of people don't realize how diverse Maui is," Stephanie said. "We wanted to show them it’s a lot more than just gorgeous beaches."
Dressed In Theme
Charles wore a vintage Reyn Spooner Hawaiian shirt and Stephanie paired a jean jacket and cowboy boots with a short ivory dress.
Striped straws and customized stir sticks were added to the signature drinks.
A Festive Kick
Boot-shaped mugs ordered from a restaurant supply store added a bit more flair to the bar.
PS Paper drew a map featuring the location of the weekend's events. It was used on the welcome letter and again on the "escort card" bandanas, which were rolled up and displayed with guests' names on labels adhered to each.
To Keep Warm
In case of cold temps, blankets with the name of the ranch were set out for guests to get cozy.
The Table Numbers
Horseshoes doubled as table numbers.
Teresa Sena Designs crafted centerpieces of protea in galvanized containers and placed them atop burlap runners.
The Place Settings
Custom paper bags housed napkins and cutlery at this buffet-style feast.
PS Paper penned the menu for dinner onto a chalkboard.
Mini pies were on the menu for dessert.
