Cutouts of colored paper are glued to the invitations for a color-block effect. At the bottom of each one, print an exchange between Julia Roberts's and Sally Field's characters in the film Steel Magnolias: "My colors are blush and bashful." "Your colors are pink and pink."

For the favors, have inexpensive rubber stamps custom-made with each guest's initial. Stamp plain stationery and tie each set with a ribbon.

The table is draped with pink fabrics; offerings on the buffet include fresh-fruit skewers, salmon-mousse tartlets, balsamic shrimp, and chicken salad with raspberries.

Photo Garlands

Photo garlands make charming timelines of the bride and groom's childhoods -- and festive decorations; to make, sew glassine envelopes (with the flaps open) together, end to end, on a sewing machine; glue photos (or copies of them) to colored paper, and slide inside.

Drink Tags

Fizzy, nonalcoholic sangria gets its pretty color from red apples; the glass has a tag with the couple's initials.

Pretty Pencils

Spring coils of quilling paper (paper that is sold in pre-cut strips) are glued to the ends of pink artist's pencils.

Gift Wrap

Gifts wrapped in pink are stacked by a myrtle topiary; the planter is wrapped in two layers of paper: The top layer is glassine; cut out the bride's initial so the bottom layer -- solid pink -- shows through.
