Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and British Olympic Diver Tom Daley Are Married
They tied the knot in the perfect English wedding.
Dustin Lance Black and Tom Daley are officially married! This Saturday, the American screenwriter and the British diver made things official at the Bovey Castle in England, according to BBC. The venue, which is located in Devon, England, just 30 miles outside of Plymouth (Daley's hometown), was the perfect place for the couple's day. They exchanged vows and celebrated with 120 of their closest friends and family members in attendance. As for their attire, Daley wore a maroon suit while Black chose one in a shade of blue. After their big celebration, both men took to Instagram to explain that they couldn't be happier to be married.
Their relationship started about four years ago thanks to a chance encounter while out to dinner at the same restaurant, the couple revealed to Out last year. After making eye contact a few times, it was clear that there was something there. Daley gave Black his phone number and things just took off. The Olympic gold medalist revealed that he was in a relationship with a man in a YouTube video he posted that same year and said, "Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great and, well, that someone is a guy."
The couple then announcing their engagement in October 2015 in London's The Times newspaper. A year and a half after the proposal, we're ecstatic that they've finally tied the knot. Congratulations to these two!
